Why do we need to know your gender? / Adjacent rooms with shared bathroom are usually assigned to two women oder two men. On request adjacent rooms can be rented to couples.

Can I hand over my room on move-out? 

In general no. But recommendations are possible.
There are waiting lists for the rooms. 
In our shared flats all tenants are to move out at the same time or indicate an immatriculated tenant.
